The FAA is implementing a new authentication process for all users of the Designee Management System (DMS). Starting August 4, 2025, all non-FAA users will be required to log in using Login.gov credentials.
This is a critical change that affects all designees and applicants accessing DMS. To support a smooth transition, we’ve summarized the key information and steps below. We’ve also attached the official Login.gov Instructions and User Guide for your convenience.
🔐 What is Login.gov?
Login.gov is a secure sign-in service used by many U.S. government agencies. It provides enhanced security through multi-factor authentication, allowing you to use a single login across multiple federal platforms.

The DMS team will not provide support for Login.gov issues. Instead, a separate help desk has been set up for assistance related specifically to Login.gov accounts:

⚠️ Do not call for Login.gov support until after August 4, unless you're setting up your account before then.
